“There is a reason for everything, including the fact that Mrs. Anna has been my teacher for over half my life. For 8 years, from the time I was 6 to the present time (October 2024, as I am writing this), Mrs. Anna’s positive spirit never changed. Even though I would sometimes come to lessons tired and exhausted, her spirit always remained up, which was shown through her energy and her constant willingness to listen and help. Throughout the 8 years I had with her, her teaching system was always organized and she was always straightforward with what she wanted me to practice. During lessons, when I would make a mistake, she would help me fix it, with no attitude, anger, or bitterness. She just helped. When somebody would mess up during a recital, she would always offer a reassuring hand and compliment on things that player did well. She is patient with mistakes and errors, and helps fix them with an energetic and positive spirit. Another thing that is great is that when a student succeeds, she congratulates that student on the success, and when a student fails and doesn’t do well, she offers a comforting and reassuring hand. She makes it easy to talk to her and to be open with her. I have had some successes with violin, and I can easily link them back to Mrs. Anna and the way she teaches. Throughout these 8 years, she never seemed to lose passion. She is passionate about teaching and cares for her students both as people and as musicians, which is the ultimate reason she has been my teacher for so long.”

“My daughter has been studying with Miss Perreta since she was 6 years old. Now she is 9 years old and I have seen how she is growing musically, how she is playing violin, reading music notes, and performing beautifully. Miss Anna Perretta is the best teacher! She is professional, patient, caring, she is so sweet, respectful, and most important, she shows personal interest in helping my daughter in all her musical goals (like recommending orchestra programs and fun workshops.) Since we are a homeschool family I love that she also give us the opportunity to have group classes and group performances. We love Miss Anna Perretta and I feel so fortunate that she is my daughter’s violin teacher.”

“My son Kaiwen, a high school freshman, started violin lesson with Ms. Anna since kindergarten. We enjoyed the violin learning experience with Ms. Anna over years, by observing Ms. Anna leading his journey from plucking “twinkle twinkle” on a 1/8 sized violin, through Suzuki books 1-6, to recent playing of his by-far the favorite Czardas, and looking forward to learn some beginner level of concerto pieces soon. No doubt Ms. Anna is a top class violinist with remarkable skill quality. Moreover, she is a talented and dedicated teacher who can communicate her skills to students, also make violin lessons fun for young kids and attractive to young adults (even to parents; I enjoy my weekly treat of observing my son’s violin lesson for years). She takes extra steps to customize teaching strategy to fit individual students’s interest and needs. Under Ms. Anna’s encouragement, Kaiwen kept going on joining music summer camps, school orchestra, and Phoenix Youth Symphony. We are grateful for having Ms. Anna as our violin teacher and look forward to more violin study under her teaching in the years to come.”

“The violin is a difficult instrument to learn, but Mrs. Perretta has made it a fun process for my son every step of the way. She holds his attention which is no small feat, and she recognizes when he is frustrated, distracted, and needing to switch gears. Anna has a very clear teaching pedagogy that also allows room for his goals as a musician, and considers where I would like to see him excel as his parent. With her help, Lennox has improved tremendously and is doing very well in his first community orchestra experience. She was the perfect "violin mom" we were looking for!”

“I love Miss Perretta because she is really funny and she helps students learn a lot! I enjoyed when we sometimes play duets at my class and also when I play in a group with other students of Miss Perretta.”

“The violin can be quite a difficult instrument to play sometimes you might get tired or a bit sore while playing, but that's part of learning to get use to it. Mrs. Perretta has made learning violin fun for me, sometimes I get frustrated with a piece but Mrs. Perretta helps get over my anger and helps me with parts I get stuck on which improves my playing on hard things. She even does games on group lessons or just private lesson. If any of you are looking for a violin teacher Mrs. Perretta is the perfect teacher you could ever have in Arizona.”
